Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
At Morataara.com we value the trust that you have placed in us. We respect your privacy and recognise your concerns about protection of your information. The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what information we may collect from you, how we use such information, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to review, correct and opt out of our use of, the information.
In this Privacy Policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Mora Taara, the partnership firm operating morataara.com. “You” and “your” refer to our customers and website visitors. This policy covers information handled through our website and related order, return and customer-service communications, including email and WhatsApp. Please read it alongside our Terms & Conditions.
COLLECTING INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
We collect information relevant to providing our products and services, responding to you and operating our website. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Contact and order information: your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, the products you order and your purchase history. If you arrange delivery to someone else, this includes the recipient details you provide.
- Payment, refund and invoice information: payment method, transaction references and payment status; bank details where needed to arrange a refund; and business or GST details when you request a GST invoice. Information entered into a payment service is also handled by that provider under its own privacy and security arrangements.
- Customer-service information: your messages, order details and any photographs or videos you send when asking for help, reporting a problem or arranging a return.
- Account, preference and review information: details you provide when using an account, choosing marketing preferences or submitting a review.
- Website and device information: your IP address, browser and device details, cookie identifiers, referring pages, products viewed, searches and activity on our website. This information can be collected even when you are not logged in.
Where possible, we indicate which fields are required and which are optional. You can choose not to provide optional information. Without information needed for an order or a particular service, we may not be able to complete that order or provide that service. Please keep the details you give us accurate and up to date.
USING YOUR INFORMATION
We use information for the following purposes:
- To process orders and payments, deliver products, issue invoices and manage returns, cancellations and refunds.
- To send order confirmations, dispatch updates and other service messages, including by email and WhatsApp.
- To answer questions, handle complaints and keep a record of our customer-service communications.
- To manage accounts and preferences, display reviews you submit for publication, and improve our products and website.
- To send promotional communications, personalise relevant offers and measure marketing performance, subject to your choices and applicable law.
- To help prevent fraud and misuse, protect our website and customers, resolve disputes and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Providing your details for an order or a support request does not, by itself, mean agreeing to promotional messages. Where consent is required for a particular use of your information, it must be obtained for that use; simply visiting our website is not blanket consent to every use described in this policy.
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
To complete your transaction or request and operate our business, we use service providers. We share information with them to the extent needed for the services they provide. These include:
- Our store platform: Shopify hosts our online store and processes information connected with browsing, shopping and orders. Further information is available in Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy.
- Payments and delivery: payment and checkout providers, courier partners and shipping services.
- Returns and customer support: return-management services and support tools, including DelightChat for customer-service email. When you contact us on WhatsApp, your communications are also handled through WhatsApp’s services.
- Marketing: we use Klaviyo to send promotional emails and DelightChat to send promotional WhatsApp messages. These services handle the contact details, preferences and message interactions needed to deliver and manage our communications.
- Business operations: providers of website analytics, advertising, data storage, backups and related technical services.
We may disclose information when required by law or legal process, or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, protect the rights or safety of our customers or others, or resolve a legal claim. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, business restructuring or sale, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
Some service providers, including Shopify, operate internationally. Your information may therefore be stored or processed outside India, subject to applicable legal requirements and the relevant provider’s data-protection arrangements.
COOKIES, ANALYTICS AND ADVERTISING
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Our website and its service providers use cookies and similar technologies to support functions such as the shopping cart, understand how the website is used, remember preferences and measure marketing performance. Some technologies may also help show relevant advertising on other websites or platforms.
These technologies can collect identifiers and browsing activity that may be linked to you or your device. They are not necessarily anonymous. Marketing emails may also contain technologies that record whether an email is opened or a link is clicked.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the website works. For questions about tracking or help with your privacy choices, contact us using the details below.
YOUR CHOICES AND MARKETING PREFERENCES
You do not need an account to ask us to stop promotional messages. To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe link in the email. You can also email customerservice@morataara.com or WhatsApp us on +91 9717977115 and tell us which promotional messages you want to stop. We will act on your request promptly.
Opting out of marketing does not stop messages needed to fulfil an order, manage a return or refund, respond to you or meet a legal obligation.
You can contact us to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask for its deletion, or withdraw consent for a use that relies on consent. We will consider and respond to your request under applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before providing or changing personal information. If information must be retained for a legal obligation or another permitted purpose, we will explain the relevant limitation. Withdrawing information or consent needed for a particular service may affect our ability to provide that service.
HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, including fulfilling orders, providing support, handling returns or disputes, and meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations. The period depends on the type of information and why it is needed. A request to delete information does not require us to erase records that the law requires us to retain.
SECURITY PRECAUTIONS
We take reasonable measures to protect information under our control against loss, misuse and unauthorised access or alteration. Our website uses HTTPS to help protect information in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Please do not send card security codes, passwords or payment OTPs by email or WhatsApp. If you suspect misuse of your information in connection with our website, contact us promptly.
LINKS TO THIRD-PARTY SITES
Our website may contain links to websites or services operated by third parties. Their privacy practices may differ from ours. Please read their privacy policies before providing information to them. Nothing in this policy excludes any responsibility Mora Taara has under applicable law.
CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
Our store is intended for adults making purchases, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. A parent or guardian should make purchases on behalf of a child. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address it.
PRODUCT REVIEWS AND PUBLIC CONTENT
Reviews, photographs and other content you submit for publication may be visible to other website visitors and may appear in search results. Please avoid including private contact details or other sensitive personal information in public content.
